Group training classes allow our instructors to teach you how to train your dog!
Our group classes have 4-8 dog handler teams per class. Classes are 1 hour long and are held on set day and time each week for a series of weeks.
To Register: choose the class you would like to enroll in, choose your payment type (PayPal for online payment or By Check for check payment) then fill out the full registration form including your dog’s info. *NOTE if you choose to pay by check you will need to mail a check to Ideal DOG 3450 Senn Road, Omro, WI 54963 to reserve your spot for the class.
Or you can Sign up at our neighbor store The Pampurr’d Pet during business hours- (pay with cash or check only at the store).
A complete registration form and payment must be made to reserve a spot.
If you don’t see a group class that works for you, contact us about private training lessons. Private lessons are customized to fit your schedule!
Please note-If your dog has behavior concerns group classes are not appropriate and private training/behavior counseling is needed. No refunds can be given if dogs must be excused from class for disruptive behavior. Puppy classes require dogs be dog friendly. Thank you for understanding.

This 3 week class explores a different dog sport each week! AKC Rally obedience, Agility, Nose Work Scent Training. Sample a new sport each week and see what fits you and your dog best! Use clicker training to teach a wide variety of skills that are useful in every day life and beyond! Fun foundation skills for dog sports that build attention and focus!
Cost is $85 per dog/handler team, class limit is 5, cost includes a clicker
Pre-requisite Basic Manners- dogs must be free from behavior concern

AKC Novice and Intermediate Tricks
Trick training is a great addition to any training repertoire. Learn how to use a clicker to precisely train just about anything! Our tricks classes teach skills that build confidence in your canine companion and qualify for the AKC Novice and AKC Intermediate Trick Dog titles! Own a mixed breed or purebred rescue dog and still want to get the titles? Register your dog with the AKC!
Four one hour classes -Novice Tricks: “Get in( a box), shake (both paws, spin, twist(left/right),targeting/touch, get on (a platform), paws up, balance beam, jump through a hoop, speak, crawl, high five, push ups, find it, give a kiss, take a bow, say hi/wave.
Balance on ball or foam exercise peanut, Fetch it (20 ft. away and deliver to hand) ,Go to your place (to bed/mat, crate from 10 ft.), Leg weave, Rollover, Game (manipulates interactive canine game), Sit Pretty, Wobble board, Catch (soft toy, soft ball, treat, etc.), Teeter totter, Balance treat on nose or head (e.g., dog biscuit), Head down, Jump through handler’s arms/over leg, Open Remove object from shoe box, Go find (handler hides, dog goes and finds)
Cost is $115 for Group Class, limit is 4-6 students. (cost includes a clicker). For any age dog

Got A Herding Dog That Needs A Job? Treibball Is Class To Put Them To Work (No Sheep Required)
Intro to Treibball
Treibball (pronounced Tribe-ball) is a positive-reinforcement sport for dogs of all ages and sizes, who love to play chase games or who just love to herd. It’s great fun for any energetic dog that works well off-leash and needs a job, or any herding breed that doesn’t have a flock!
Intro to Treibball 6 lesson program teaches dogs and handlers the foundation skills needed to get started in this fun sport.
The verbal cues used in American Treibball are
- “Watch me” for attention at distance
- “Down/Stay” at distance
- “Stand/Stay” at distance
- “Come Bye” to cue the dog to move to his left, (your right) or clockwise.
- “Away to Me” to cue the dog to move to his right, (your left) or counter-clockwise
- “Back” (or “Out”) to cue the dog to back up, when he’s overshot the ball the handler wants him to bring.
- “Drive” to push the ball forward with his nose or shoulder.
- “That’ll do!” to release the dog, when all the balls are in the goal, or fifteen minutes of playing time has elapsed.
